NJ Surf Fitness is all about getting away from the traditional static workout and challenging your body in new ways. Every exercise on the board is designed to engage your core & stabilizer muscles and shock the system to create real change inside & out.

We draw from the real movements of surfing to create workouts that build balance, core strength, stability, agility, aerobic conditioning, power, lean muscle & coordination.  NJ Surf Fitness classes are structured for optimal fat burn, muscle build & improved balance all while using the Ripsurfer X, which combines a paddling element with a balance board base to recreate the instability of a surfboard on water.  

Our Mission

We are a company based on expanding individuals overall health, fitness, and lifestyle while incorporating surfing positions, balance, maneuvers, and culture. Whether you are a surfer, yogi, power lifter, runner or none of the above; we accommodate every age, skill level, and physical ability. If you are looking to start fresh with working out, or better the workout you already do, we can help! We work arms, legs, core, back, and full body in a fun and educational manner. Our mission is to introduce people to a new form of working out and getting in peak physical shape while having a good time and learning new things. Our clients will be given the opportunity to learn to surf in a controlled environment, while toning their body and never even having to get wet! Also, if you are ever feeling like expanding into the water, we also offer real Surfing Lessons in Manasquan NJ and Surf, Ecological, and Cultural Trips to various places around the world!

  • Paddling builds shoulder definition, strengthens the lower back muscles, and increases cardiovascular fitness. 
  • Duck-diving through waves builds arm strength: tricep strength in particular.
  • The pop-up maneuver engages the core and pectoral muscles, and helps to build explosive power.
  • The actual process of standing and riding the wave increases leg strength, flexibility, and engages all the postural muscles.
